Today I decided to hike to the very tip of Mnt. San Jacinto. I started out at 8500 ft. above sea level and hiked to the peak which is 10,834 ft. The total distance was 12 miles and it took me about 5.5 hours. The view of course was incredible. From the peak I had a complete 360 degree view. It also happened to be a very clear day so I could practically see all the way to L.A.
At one point during the hike a family of blue birds seemed to be following me along the trail. It was very 'zippity do da ish'" to say the least. Robert, I hope your lungs and legs are ready! Below are some of the photos I took along the way.
